My Net - Network Scanner App Reviews
…does just what I want. There are other network monitors out there will more features, more groovy graphs etc. - but for 3 times the price or more. It’s so nice to have found something that satisifes my needs at a more-than-reasonable price. One minor quibble: Version v.1.20 of the app stayed open when I closed the main window. It doesn’t quit automatically and there wasnt a way to re-open the main window without manually quitting and relaunching the app. UPDATE: I’ve just downloaded v1.21 and it fixed the app quit/closing bug. This reassures me that the developer is responsive.
Network Scanner is so fast and the most reliable app for the users. WiFi LAN Scanning is now very easy for anyone through this app which provides detail information about all the devices connected to a network. I found this app simply awesome to use.
Works Well
Nice App with clean UI that shows all of the devices connected to my home network.
I wanted something that would tell me everything that was connected to my local network. This program does that and also identifies the manufacturer (from the devices MAC address I assume) and any Bonjour services each device supports. Just what I needed.
Works well
Gives you IP and MAC. Looks up MAC owner, so you can find the vendor whom is registered to the network interface MAC.
Nice app, with pretty comprehensive results. Better scan results than LAN Scan by m-Development. Results not quite as good as Network Analyzer by Techet (iPhone app). There must be all sorts of tricks and techniques for assembling the IP, name, and vendor of the devices on a network, as different products can really differ in their results. The layout is a little funky, and the left-hand column does not seem adjustible, so long names can get truncated. Can do a quick export to email to see everything, but should not need to do that.
I live in a condo building so I’m always trying to optimize my wi-fi. This app gave me all of the info that I was lookng for that I was previously using about five different apps for. Quick and simple, bravo.
Just what I need to look for devices on my network! But hopefully they can improve the UI further. - Not able to copy the details, e.g.: MAC address etc.
Fast, Accurate, helpful. It’s particularly nice that it has a button to send an eMail of its scan results. It would be even nicer if Help information was available from its Help Menu.
In being curious of whos on your router when your online, this program does exactly what it says it does and works really good. And if sombody shouldn’t be on your network, well, you’ll know about it. just wish you could track an outsiders connection on apple’s maps to see where it was coming from.
I perfer this ive iNet, its fast and finds all the devices on your network. I like the email results, and MAC vendor lookup. Keep up the good work.. Thanks T
I installed the application and the Start/Scan button is greyed out. does not scan, does not do anything other than open… couldn’t find any preferences to trash… it’s just dead… can’t find the cmpany website for any support…. anyone have any ideas on how to get this thing to actually scan? turned off begin scan at launch, nothing…. dead…. anyone on here from Nutec to help troubleshoot this thing?
Original: Shows me my Time Capsule and own computer. Doesn’t list 12 other devices that our old Windows PC sees. Pretty worthless. Now, as of Sep 21, 2015 update: Shows me everything on my network. Doesn’t identify iPhones, but shows their IP address (just doesn’t give any more info) Sometimes you might need to click Start Scan again just to make sure the list is up to date. Bottom line: It works.
I have a mixed network (wired and wireless) with 21 devices attached. Used My Net to scan, 8 devices discovered Scan again, 17 devices discovered Scan again, 9 devices discovered Scan again, 11 devices discovered After many scans: high 18, low 7 even merging the scans did not list all of the devices IP 3 is a iMac 27 IP 4 is a iMac 24 both are listed with the router’s MAC address My Net help is as good as the app, "Help isn’t available for My Net."
I can find all of my equipment
Now I don’t have to guess what IP addresses I have been using when I add equipment to my network.
I have enumerable devices on my LAN and this pathetic “app?” can only find three. The mac it runs on, the DSl modem and time capsule. completey useless
Not at all happy with App
How do I get a refund!
